Avenel Active is a volunteer association that collaborates with residents, community organisations and businesses to:

Protect and care for our natural environment
Meetings are held every two months at Avenel Memorial Hall, 15 Queen Street Avenel.
Meetings run from 7.00 – 8.30pm

All residents are welcome to attend.
The Avenel Active Committee is responsible for the day-to-day management of Avenel Active. The Committee is elected by members each year at the Annual General Meeting.
Avenel Active has adopted the Model Rules for an Incorporated Association in Victoria.

The Avenel Community Plan 2022-2026
Avenel Active is also a Community Planning Reference Group supported by Strathbogie Shire Council to develop four-yearly community plans for the town in consultation with the Avenel community.
Avenel Community Plan 2022 – 2026 reflects priority projects and concerns identified by the community and guides Avenel Active’s work. A text-only word version of the Community Plan is available on request.
